Starting with our Fall 2011 production of Evil Dead: the Musical, we will be chronicling the process of putting together our "out of the box" musicals through online journals. Actors, designers, choreographers, stage managers, and our artistic diretor will be writing about the highs, lows, ups, and downs of creating a musical theatre production, starting with production meetings and working our way through auditions, the first read-through, rehearsals, moving into the theater, opening night, performances, and finally, closing the show. For our readers who don't work in the theatre industry, these blogs will provide a unique view of behind-the-scenes action, hopefully giving our audience members new insight into the art and craft that goes into the finished show that they enjoy on stage. Additionally, the blogs create a true sense of community among the cast, design team, staff, and readers, reminding us that we're a community theatre company that builds emotional connections and relationships - many of which last long after the production is over. We've always believed that a large part of musical theatre is telling an honest story, and we're all excited about sharing these stories with you. We hope that you enjoy reading them...
